Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators of The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winner talk show) was back on the air in August for the 22nd episode. But her real passion was when she added writing to her duties, and was awarded an Emmy for her work. Additionally, she was awarded an Emmy award for exceptional host of a talk show. The Talk examines contemporary events by looking through the eyes of five hostesses. Chen Moonves hosted CBS News' early morning news broadcast The Early Show for a decade. Before that she was the CBS Morning News anchor and hosts on The Early Show. Chen Moonves was tasked with reporting from Cairo following the events of the 9/11 attacks. She went down and talked to the father who commanded hijackers to an eye-opening, fascinating interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured famous people like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert deNiro and Jennifer Lopez. Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV dayton (1995-1997). She also worked for ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. She was a desk attendant for ABC News' Nightline program featuring Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel is as one of her journalist idols. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special that explored the 1992 Los Angeles riots, worked with Koppel.
